WHAT IS THE MICROLASERPEEL™?
MicroLaserPeel™ is a procedure utilizing a computer-guided laser to precisely remove the outermost layer of the skin cells. This is a milder peel than skin resurfacing, but deeper than microdermabrasion or chemical peels. The procedure is individually tailored to the nature of the condition to be corrected. Skin conditions such as wrinkles, scars, acne scars, keratoses, or pigmentation problems have been known to respond to MicroLaserPeel™ treatments.

IS THE MICROLASERPEEL™ UNCOMFORTABLE?
Since this procedure is simply a superficial depth peel, it is performed after the application of an anesthetic cream. No local anesthetic or patient sedation is required. Due to the laser energy delivered to the skin, the main sensation after the procedure is that of warmth similar to a sunburn. No pain medication is required after this procedure.
HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED FOR A MICROLASERPEEL™ TREATMENT?
A treatment of the entire face requires approximately 30 minutes, however, an anesthetic cream is applied to the skin for 60 minutes prior to the procedure to maximize your comfort.
WHO SHOULD CONSIDER A MICROLASERPEEL™?
If you are looking for more than microdermabrasion or light chemical peels, and have little time for a prolonged healing process, then the MicroLaserPeel™ may be a consideration for you.
HOW IS THE MICROLASERPEEL™ DIFFERENT FROM MICRODERMABRASION?
Generally, microdermabrasion removes the most superficial layer of skin cells (stratum corneum), and has no associated downtime. The MicroLaserPeel™ is a slightly deeper peel which improves the appearance of the skin with 3-7 days of skin healing time. MicroLaserPeel™ is an intermediate step between microdermabrasion and deeper skin resurfacing.

You may experience smoother, healthier, more vibrant skin, with a subtle yet noticeable change in skin texture.
HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS?
Overall skin recovery generally takes 3-7 days and varies slightly with each individual. For a few days immediately following the MicroLaserPeel™ the skin has the appearance of a sunburn. Next, a few days of exfoliation follows the “sunburn phase”, after which the skin takes on a healthy radiance and smoothness.
Can Microlaserpeel™ Be Combined With Other Cosmetic Procedures?
MicroLaserPeel™ may be combined with other cosmetic procedures such as Botox Cosmetic®, dermal fillers (Restylane®, Perlane™ or Juvederm™ to enhance soft tissue volume), Contour Threads™ (for soft tissue elevation) or deeper skin resurfacing (for deeper wrinkles)
