FRACTIONAL SKIN REJUVENATION
HOW DOES FRACTIONAL SKIN REJUVENATION WORK?
Light is delivered via a laser in an array of narrow, focused laser “microbeams” to create columns of heat within the skin. These microbeams penetrate deep into the skin. The heated tissue within the columns starts a natural healing process that forms new, healthy tissue. The fractional approach stimulates quick healing, while leaving your skin’s surface intact. This allows for fast recovery and no interruption to your daily activities.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF FRACTIONAL SKIN REJUVENATION?
- COMFORTABLE: No anesthetic required
FAST: treatment times range from 10-60 minutes
- CONVENIENT: no aftercare required; no downtime
- SAFE: a well researched and tested procedure administered under medical supervision
- EFFECTIVE: extensively researched at yielding clinical improvement to the skin for appropriate conditions
- CUSTOMIZED: treatments tailored to the requirements of individual needs
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A TREATMENT?
Commonly, mild puffiness, warmth and some degree of redness develops after a treatment and may persist for hours to days depending on individual skin response and the extent of the treatment. Cooling the skin after treatment can shorten duration of this response.
Make-up may be applied the next day, and all daily activities may continue uninterrupted.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH FRACTIONAL LASER TREATMENTS?
All areas of the face and certain areas of the body such as the backs of the hands for aged and sun-damaged skin
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments varies by area treated, skin type, treatment goals and individual skin response. In general, 4-6 treatments spaced approximately 4 weeks apart is the average range. Short-term results are often seen, but best results are often more evident weeks or months later
